First National Pope Nitschke calls the Fleurieu Peninsula home

Two of the real estate agency leaders in the Adelaide Hills have joined forces to strengthen the offerings in the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The merger between First National Pope Nitschke and LJ Hooker Strathalbyn will service over 250 residential and commercial properties. Janelle Owen will join the First National Pope Nitschke office from LJ Hooker. Janelle, a real estate agent since 2004, has been a local resident for 27 years.

She attended both the Strathalbyn primary and high schools, now renamed to Eastern Fleurieu, and chose to raise her family there – her two children, Banjo (seven) and Ginger (four) with her partner, Tony.

“Tony and I love the area. Our lifestyle is an interesting intersection between country and ocean. We get to live on a big property, then spend our weekends on the peninsula. Goolwa Beach is less than 30 minutes away,” Janelle shares.

Janelle is actively involved in the local community including the District Commerce Association and as Chairperson of the Strathalbyn Children’s Centre. She looks for any opportunity to help further bond the region.

“I used to orgainse the Christmas Carols for the Angas Flows community event. For a small region, we have a lot of heart. This is a place you feel a sense of belonging.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining First National Pope Nitschke to continue work within the community that positively shaped my life,” she said.

Being a mother herself, Janelle understands the lifestyle needs of young families. David Nitschke, First National Pope Nitschke’s Principal, says Janelle will be a fantastic addition to the team.

“We’re all very excited to welcome Janelle to the brand. A women who grew up there herself, has seen the region evolve, and continues to choose it as her home,” Mr Nitschke added.

“Janelle joins Peter Redden, Deb McGaffin and the rest of the sales team servicing the Fleurieu region.”

“It’s been extremely important for us to find someone who’s an advocate for the area. And Janelle is that, in every essence of the word.”

Pope Nitschke also welcomes Bev Camac to the property management team.
